Massage Therapy and Cancer

Massage therapists are increasingly providing massage therapy for clients in all stages of the cancer journey, and are gaining more acceptance within integrative cancer patient care. This 2-day seminar focuses on what the massage practitioner needs to know about cancer as a disease and addresses fears that massage therapy may promote cancer spread. The major focus is understanding medical protocols in order to plan and implement appropriate and effective massage treatment plans. An overview of what the currently quite extensive research literature says about massage therapy’s efficacies in cancer care is also presented.
